I am a 26 year old graphic designer located in Dardanup, Western Australia. I am happily married and have two beautiful daughters. My hobbies include graphic design, music, reading, swimming and I also love shopping, home decorating and I would love to travel the world one day.
My experience in graphic design is extensive. I originally started out in website design, designing my first commercial website for the West Australian town of Merredin when I was 14. That website started out as a hobby for me, but only a couple of months later it was picked up by a community organisation who employed me to run the website for them. In total, I designed and ran the website 'Merredin.com' for 10 years, and it now is able to accept members who can update business information, post employment ads and contact other members through the site. I only handed over ownership of Merredin.com in 2007 as I have now moved on from Merredin, currently residing in Dardanup, near Bunbury Western Australia so it made more sense for a local to update it instead of me.
I also have 4 years experience working for the 'Bunbury Mail' newspaper, which meant being a part of an award winning team designing advertising for clients. While there I also won competitions myself for ads I designed. During my employment I designed thousands of newspaper advertisements ranging from full page real estate advertising pages to feature layouts and general advertising, and after just a couple of years, I ended up 2IC of the production section.
As my first daughter was born in 2007, then my second daughter in 2009, I have had to find other ways of continuing this work rather than traveling to Bunbury to work every day, as I would prefer to be at home with my kids. Which is why I am now running my own graphic design business from home.
My vision for this design business is simple. I love the work that I do and I am very particular when it comes to my designs. I will not cut corners because at the end of the day it is my name which will be attached to that design, and I want your business back, so I refuse to do a half hearted job!
